You can customize your character by changing the colors of all the characters. Change the hair color, wardrobe color, skin color, etc. That gives you alot of possible ways to edit your character with tons of combinations.
Click on the profile button if you would like to change your online character. Go to the Character tab to customize your character, select a different player image, change it's color or background. This only applies to your online profile, not your single player character.
You can switch your character during the game as well. All you have to do is type in the character name with the / in the chat balloon and click enter. The characters and their names are below. There are currently 31 characters to choose from.
